How to Buy


For the safety of our staff and our customers, and in accordance to the rules and regulations of BC health, we've made a number of changes to our buying process:

All bidding will be done online via ADESA Simulcast.
Viewing requirements - All public buyers must view the vehicles before being registered for bidding (by appointment only).
Safety requirements - All public buyers must wear face coverings and gloves at all times while at ADESA. You are not permitted on-site if you have been outside Canada in the last 14 days or are showing any Covid19 symptoms.
Deposit requirement - All public buyers are required to pay a $1000 deposit with VISA/Mastercard before receiving buyer login/password. Deposit is refundable on Monday if no vehicle is purchased.

Buying process:

  1. Please call us at 604-232-4403 to book a viewing/registration appointment (appointments available between Noon-4pm on Fridays; no drop-ins).
  2. Arrive onsite at your pre-arranged time wearing face coverings and gloves.
  3. a. Registration and viewing is now at 7111 No. 8 Road, Richmond BC.
    b. Please park in the front parking lot and proceed right to the check-in area.
    c. After check-in, follow ADESA staff directions to the viewing area.
    d. Make a list of vehicles you are planning to bid on.
    e. Please keep track of time to exit before your appointment is up.

  4. After viewing is complete, proceed back to the check-in area to pay for your bidder deposit, and obtain your bidder login/password for Saturday's Auction.
  5. a. Make sure to take a copy of the ADESA Simulcast user guide with you if it's your first time bidding online.

  6. Login to ADESA.ca with the provided log-in at least 10 minutes before the auction starts. Please contact us at 604-232-4403 if you are experiencing login issues.
  7. Listen to the auctioneer for any vehicle information updates, and bid accordingly.
  8. Sale completion and payment will be done on the following Monday between 9am - 4pm. All vehicles must be paid by Monday at 4pm.
  9. a. Please call us at 604-232-4403 to book an appointment.
    b. Arrive at your pre-arranged time to complete your payment, the transfer of ownership, and the purchase of insurance/day permit.
    c. Once payment and transfer is complete, you can take delivery of the vehicle outside the north security gate. All vehicles must be picked up by Tuesday 5PM.
    d. Please remember to wear face coverings and gloves while onsite.
